The Spirit of these pieces - why they matter…
-
Each piece we carry comes directly from Indigenous makers and communities in South America with the exception of some where they come from the hands of a master of their craft.
These are not factory-made replicas or mass-produced ceremonial items. They are woven, carved, and gathered within living traditions where the knowledge and symbols are passed through generations.
Our work is to build real relationships with these makers and ensure the exchange remains reciprocal and respectful.
-
These items are not decorative objects.
They are tools traditionally used in ceremony and daily prayer.
From chumpis worn for energetic grounding, to medicine bags that carry sacred items, to medicines used in ritual practice; each piece supports the relationship between the person, the land, and the prayer.
Many of the items we carry are the same tools used within our own ceremonial spaces.
-
Our store is built on the principle of Ayni; sacred reciprocity.
When you purchase from Wakan Wasi Ñuke you are supporting artisans and communities who continue to keep these traditions alive.
This work is about creating a respectful bridge between cultures, ensuring the makers receive fair compensation and the stories behind their crafts are honoured.
