"Hecho en el Ombligo de la Luna”
Made in the Navel of the Moon.
An expression rooted in the ancient name of Mexico, Mēxihco,
often understood as the place at the centre of the moon.
These pieces are created by Daughter of The Maiz Community
a community carrying forward tradition through their hands and their way of living.
Where land, culture, and creation meet.
A simple piece, often worn in ceremony to support clarity and focus.
Worn across the forehead, it acts as both physical protection and a point of prayer… helping steady the mind and hold intention.
Paliacates are commonly used in Temazcal and fire-based ceremony.
They are worn across the forehead, not only to protect from heat, but as a way of holding prayer at the level of the mind.
A simple cloth…
but over time, it becomes something you build relationship with.
Something you return to.
Each piece is sourced from Mexico and selected for use in real ceremonial environments.
Lightweight, durable, and easy to carry, they are often one of the first pieces people begin to work with as they deepen their connection to ceremony.
• Material: Cotton
• Origin: Mexico
• Size: Standard bandana size (~50–55cm)
• Use: Ceremony / daily practice / altar
